Banana Bread

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I’ve shared this recipe before for this banana bread, but since I decided to bake a loaf, I thought I would share it again. This recipe has been in my family for years, and it is the absolute best I’ve ever made. I tried other banana bread recipes, and I always return to the one I know! Not only is it the best, but it’s also the easiest! It’s almost as if I’m giving you a loaf! Seriously, bake this and share with someone special over a cup of coffee and, make sure you slather it with butter! I hope you enjoy it!

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour, unsifted
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Grease and flour 9×5 inch loaf pan. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes at 325 degrees until the top is golden brown and splits. Serve warm for the best flavor.
